Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver recruiting expertise and administration to a variety of offices and teams

  • Point person on maintaining compliance with federal, state and local employment practices

  • Drive performance management, talent management and employee engagement

  • Administers employee recognition programs and various firm-wide employee events (including health & welfare and volunteer programs)

  • Plays an integral role in the effectiveness and maintenance of the HRIS system (UltiPro)

  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of progressive HR experience,
  • HRIS system experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PHR or professional similar certification

  • Background supporting professional or technical project backgrounds

  • Knowledge of social media aspects a positive, including job postings and employment brand

  • Above average use of MS tools and related tools like Survey Monkey

Job Description: GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Human Resources Generalist builds and maintains collaborative partnerships with managers and staff to facilitate the delivery of strategic and operational human resources programs and services that supports and advances the University's mission. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plans, develops and implements recruitment and talent acquisition strategies including the recruitment, screening, selection, placement, and hiring of qualified and diverse staff for positions across the University. * Consults with department partners to resolve complex HR issues and respond accordingly to managers and employees. * Serves as liaison between management, staff and applicants regarding University policies, employment policies and practices. * Consults with supervisors and staff on a variety of employee relations matters; leads or participates in investigations, and provide objective recommendations for appropriate action and resolution. * Actively works to support University compliance with local, state, and federal laws and statutes related to employment. Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree required * Minimum of three years (3) directly related experience in human resources required. * Minimum of one year recruitment, selection, hiring and onboarding experience required. * Prior experience supporting employee relations issues required. * Knowledge of local, state and federal employment law and regulations. * Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * SHRM-CP/SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification preferred * Previous HR generalist experience in a non-profit, mission-driven organization. * Demonstrated commitment to intercultural competency and knowledge of the IDI tool.
