Human Resources Generalist

Rockland Federal Credit Union (RFCU) is seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong focus on payroll and compliance to join our team. As a member-focused organization, we are dedicated to attracting top talent to support our Credit Union's mission and values.

In this role, the HR Generalist will be pivotal in overseeing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. Key responsibilities include overseeing payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring adherence to payroll regulations, supporting the HR team in compliance-related activities such as audits and policy implementation, and assisting with other HR functions, including recruiting and benefits.

Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in HR or payroll processing, preferably within the banking or credit union environment. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, particularly payroll laws are required.

SHRM-CP certification is preferred. Proficiency in HRIS systems is expected (ADP preferred). Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality are crucial.
