Risk Strategies, a privately-held National Insurance Brokerage and Risk Management Firm with over 2,000 employees is seeking an HR Generalist with a future goal of growing into an HRBP. At Risk Strategies, input, ideas and suggestions are implemented and not just considered. Our HR Team has expanded in size to 17 members since 2016 as our population has quadrupled in size. At this time we are seeking an additional, collaborative team member as we continue to scale. Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have 2-5 years of HRBP experience ideally within a growth-centric organization
  • Drive, influence and implement human resource strategies that support the growth of the business while ensuring employee engagement and management effectiveness
  • Excel under the mentorship of a Senior HR Business Partner
  • Have experience with workforce management initiatives, employee relations, succession planning, comp, performance management and will create, manage and execute HR projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for the GS-11 GRADE LEVEL: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: interpreting human resources laws to provide comprehensive advisory services on staffing functions; analyzing and recommending solutions to resolve human resources problems/issues; advising management on recruitment methods and strategies; processing personnel actions; and creating a variety of human resources products (e.g. job analyses, vacancy announcements, referral lists, etc.); OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related; OR Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for the GS-12 GRADE LEVEL: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: applying delegated examining principles (DEU), merit promotion, and the full range of competitive and non-competitive placement authorities, ensuring accuracy and quality of finalized work products; providing consultation services to internal/external customers; researching and applying federal laws, regulations, guidelines and procedures governing all aspects of pay administration including pay setting procedures, as well as administering a full range of classification tasks from assisting supervisors to write the job description, completing form OF-08 data items, and making the necessary regulatory determination, including tracking and reporting on established or abolished positions; and analyzing and recommending solutions to resolve human resources issues on recruitment methods and strategies.
