Our Human Resources Generalist plays a valuable role in our business by performing HR related duties on a professional level while working closely with the Human Resources Manager. This role will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasize job satisfaction, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a supervisor workforce. This position additionally carries out responsibilities in employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Partner with the site Human Resources Manager and department leaders to understand, document, and support talent planning needs for Carrington administrative and production staff
Partner with the site Human Resources Manager to develop and execute on a sourcing and recruitment strategy. Use feedback from department leaders and external talent market to craft a sourcing plan, operate within recruitment budget, and generate the optimal return on spend
Coordinate internal talent movement/posting processes prior to posting openings externally; post internal opportunities and coordinate internal talent movement between employees and department leaders. Track internal talent movement and file documentation according to Records Management standards
Use UltiPro applicant tracking system to execute the full-life-cycle recruiting processes for the Carrington location; build job requisitions, conducting initial resume screens, phone screen external talent, scheduling onsite interviews, and extend offers consistent with company practices and guidelines
Oversee pre-employment background and drug testing procedures; initiate background checks and drug screens in EBI system and support external candidates throughout the process. When appropriate, partner with the site Human Resources Manager and subject matter experts to execute on FCRA processes for adverse action events
Flawlessly execute all new employee onboarding including: first week new hire orientation, new hire paperwork, and systems set up (UltiPro, Linus, Eyelock, Kronos, etc.). Review onboarding process and provide suggestions to Human Resources Manager and department leaders to improve new hire orientation programs
Partner with Human Resources Manager and department leaders to understand and document annual intern and co-op program needs. In partnership with the site Human Resources Manager, develop and execute on intern and co-op recruiting strategies to ensure steady flow of technical and skilled trades talent for future openings
Partner with the site Human Resources Manager and department leaders to understand temporary talent needs. Serve as the main point of contact for temporary and contractor talent partners. Coordinate all onboarding processes for temporary or contractor talent. Work with local housing partners to set up or terminate housing needs for Carrington contractor staff, as needed
Execute employee absenteeism and employee payroll process for the facility. Provide support on daily and weekly attendance tasks, including; cataloging of absenteeism slips, maintaining points trackers, issuing warning notices to managers, and responding to attendance inquiries.
Support talent movement by executing flawlessly on all personnel changes (full personnel life cycle, onboarding through off-boarding). Process all new hire and employee change paperwork in core HRIS system, according to policies and standard operating procedures.
Completes Carrington site investigations. Ensure that employee issues are investigated in a timely and thorough manner, and action items are completed to mitigate risk and close gaps in policies and processes. Use investigation tools, resources, and records management standards to ensure thorough documentation.
Assists with employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee engagement surveys, employee focus groups, and one-on-one meetings.

Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution
1+ years Human Resources, Payroll, or Recruiting experience
Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint)
Bachelors' Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Masters' Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
HRCI or SHRM Certification
