Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist has responsibility for all aspects of Human Resources including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compensation, policy implementation and training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with peer group and Human Resources Director to develop, implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop sourcing strategies based on local market to drive candidate pipeline/recruit talented employees.
  • Partner with benefits team and client group to ensure successful on-boarding / integration.
  • Counsel client group leadership on sound employee relations strategies.
  • Respond promptly and thoughtfully to employee questions concerning policies, procedures and programs.
  • Lead investigation and resolution process with client group responding to employee complaints/concerns.
  • Conduct exit interviews and partner with managers to improve climate based upon constructive feedback.
  • Deliver impactful management training in areas such as interviewing, hiring, termination, promotion, performance evaluation, safety and harassment prevention.
  • Monitor the performance management program to ensure meaningful performance evaluations are conducted in accordance with Company policies.
  • Assist in the administration of benefits programs and conduct an annual open enrollment process.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and represent the Company at unemployment hearings.
  • Manage medical leaves of absence and worker's compensation claims in partnership with corporate specialists.
  • Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Analyze trends and metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address competitive, complex business issues.
  • Perform projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • SPHR or PHR certification preferred.
  • 3 years of related HR experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong conflict management, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing client group relationships to gain support and achieve results.
  • Proven track record in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Working experience with ADP
