Human Resources Generalist Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, and compliance with labor laws.

This position requires a proactive approach to managing HR processes and fostering a positive workplace culture. Contract position, 2-5 hours/week, On call and ongoing. $50-60/hr. Responsibilities Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.

Handle employee relations matters by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment. Maintain accurate employee records and manage payroll processes using Ceridian or similar systems. Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations Must present Onsite for Onboarding and Terminations (If/when applicable) Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters Collaborate with management to implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals.

Provide guidance on HR best practices and support managers in performance management processes. Manage Recruiters and Staffing Companies Experience Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred. 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist. Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.

Strong knowledge of employee relations practices and recruitment strategies. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with employees at all levels.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and change management initiatives is highly valued. Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines. Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
