Human Resources Generalist

HR Works is supporting its client, a nonprofit organization company in Brighton, NY, with its search for a Human Resource Generalist. This is a Direct Placement Opportunity.

The compensation range for this role is $70,000-$78,000. This is a hybrid opportunity, with three to four days working from home The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for various functions of the Human Resource department, including talent, compensation, benefits, reporting, and administration of company policies. This position reports to the HR Director, supporting all HR functions of a newly merged non-profit organization (100 employees). The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable working autonomously but enjoys and thrives in a collaborative, remote team environment.

In addition to HR Generalist functions, the HR Generalist will partner with the Director to help lead the organization through post-merger cultural initiatives. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required.

A minimum of seven years of experience in Human Resources supporting all areas of HR (Generalist) is required.

Non-profit experience is preferred but not required. Experience working with an organization that has gone through a merger is preferred but not required.

A commitment to internal customer service is required.

Demonstrated success working in a remote environment is required.

A demonstrated ability to work with a diverse workforce is required.

A high degree of professionalism is required.

An HR certification is strongly preferred. Experience working with the Paychex HRIS system is preferred.
