Overview
The Human Resources Genralist will support the Human Resource Department in daily administrative functions, talent acquisition initiatives and HR strategies. Assist with key responsibilities for Corporate Highgate offices and hotels which includes new hire onboarding and administration, talent acquisition, training and communications.
Responsibilities
Oversee the onboarding process and administration for corporate new hires.
Coordinate IT setup, Payroll/HRIS entry, and office / workspace setup preperation.
Prepare welcome materials for in-office and remote new hires, keeping cultural items stocked.
Assist in conducting Corporate New Hire Orientation.
Support onboarding during property transitions.
Create and distribute announcements for corporate new hires.
Update and distribute the monthly HR Organizational Chart.
Manage HR, corporate office, and remote distribution emails.
Assist in creating and executing presentations for monthly HR calls.
Oversee access to and track completion of required DEI trainings in the LMS, ensuring data accuracy.
Support the enhancement, maintenance, and training of recruiting technology systems (iCIMS, SkillSurvey, Applicant Insights).
Monitor HR and Applicant inboxes, prioritizing and responding to emails promptly.
Administer system access for HR new hires, transfers, and terminations.
Track and process forms for accurate LOA management.
Organize, audit, and maintain new hire files, conducting annual purges of termination files.
Assist with corporate offboarding, including processing MAC tickets and PAF for payroll.
Perform quarterly audits of HR systems for accuracy.
Process monthly HR invoices with Accounts Payable.
Collaborate with HR Leadership on corporate HR initiatives and projects.
Assist in planning and executing corporate events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
2+ years of experience in hotel or HR-related roles.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with all employee levels.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under time constraints.
Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
Ability to understand and evaluate complex information from various sources.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Employment law knowledge is a plus.
Exceptional recruiting skills for passive candidates (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.).
Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (iCIMS) and ADP EV5 HRIS is a plus.
Self-starter with initiative.
