Job Description
Collin County has an immediate opening for an HR Generalist in the Employee Relations and Pay for Performance group. This position is responsible for responding to unemployment claims, representing the County in unemployment hearings, handling employee issues, and conducting exit interviews with employees who leave the County. The individual will also be responsible for preparing correspondence and reference materials, developing and conducting training, assisting supervisors, conducting research and performing various Human Resources projects as assigned.
Requirements include knowledge in the field of Business Administration normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's Degree. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver License with an acceptable driving record. Experience in the field of Human Resources preferred. Critical thinking and looking beyond face value are important skills to being successful in this position. Strong writing skills, including attention to detail and the ability to accurately relay situations and facts to a third party are required. The ability to be tactful, navigate emotionally charged situations, and maintain calm under pressure and/or in crises situations is essential to this job. Candidates must exhibit extremely high ethics, credibility, and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Proficiency in the use of PeopleSoft and Excel are preferred.
