Based in our Southaven, MS location, under general direction of the HR Business Partner, this role will be the primary resource for employees and the interpretation and application of policies at the facility. This position will work in a partnership with internal customers to provide direction and support with business strategies, processes, communications, policies, procedures, and services for a wide variety of human resources activities.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Provides HR representation and input to employees and operations management on matters pertaining to employee coaching, conduct, and corrective action; policy interpretation and application; employment practices; and complaint resolutions
Be visible and available on the plant floor to answer any employee questions or concerns
Ensure compliance with federal/state laws
Conduct full cycle recruiting for all hourly roles
Attend company sponsored events and activities
Works closely with the HR Business Partner of the Distribution Centers in crafting and maintaining an employee activities committee
Ensure personnel files and other employment records are kept in accordance with the Company's record retention policy and applicable state/federal laws
Become the back up for both Distribution Centers weekly timecard review
Works closely with the HR Business Partner of the Distribution Centers on administrating and updating all HR policies and practices in accordance with local, state, and federal regulatory law
Support the HR Business Partner of the Distribution Centers in the successful completion of Emerson's yearly employee opinion survey process and action plans

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor of Science in Human Resources or other appropriate field
2+ years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience
Distribution or Manufacturing environment experience
Knowledge of employment laws and legal compliance
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
Ability to optimally communicate across all levels of the organization, both written and verbal
Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Experience with full-cycle recruitment
Experience with HRIS preferably Oracle and Kronos
