Human Resources Generalist

Our client, a nationwide leader in manufactured corrugated products, has an immediate need for an experienced Human Resources Generalist/Administrator, to join their winning team in Middletown. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain HRIS records and employee files including, but not limited to, entering new hires, job changes and terminations Provide data for government required reporting Process unemployment claims, wage garnishment requests and provide direction for employment verifications Monitor labor law posting requirements and ensure compliance Periodic attendance for off-shift events Assist in scheduling interviews, phone screens, reference/background checks and drug screens Prepare candidate correspondence, offer packages and onboarding communications Support the execution of recruitment and other HR events, including but not limited to scheduling, inviting and attending such events and providing feedback for future events Assist with new hire onboarding to ensure positive and welcoming experience Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, compensation, policies and procedures Ensure accurate and timely benefit enrollments through ADP self-service Coordinate administration of disability programs Serve as liaison for rewards and recognition program and coordinate company engagement activities KEY QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years working in a Human Resources department, preferably w union manufacturing Previous HRIS experience Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Self-motivated and strong ability to work independently.
