Position is based in Los Angeles, CA
Job Description
This position will assist the corporate Human Resources team to direct and coordinate the activities of human resource department on the west coast region, in order to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties. The scope of the position includes multiple facets of Human Resource and will require that you work closely with the Bollore USA staff and managers.
Assist the Branch/Region in achieving goals by maintaining staff. Responsible for communication, coordination and insuring compliance of all HR policies and practices. Liaison between branch/region and Corporate HR team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Full knowledge and understanding of the northeast region operations
- Manage and enforce all company policies and procedure
- Communicate Branch structure and reporting lines
- Attends branch/mgmt meeting for proactive approach and readiness for operational needs
- Facilitates branch/regional recruiting in coordination with our Talent Acquisition manager
- Maintain employee HR files locally and regionally
- Assist in meeting the goals of the region
- Prepare and monitor Job Descriptions and ensure accurate WC classifications
- Day to Day liaise and support to corporate HR team
- Analyze local staffing needs and take proactive measures to develop/mentor staff for upward mobility
- Ongoing Compensation Market study where are we in the industry standards
- Liaise with Corp HR branch activity, upcoming needs such as employee benefits enrollment and training programs
- Local contact to coordinate EE leave of absences, disability with the corporate HR team
- Train and monitor time and attendance module for all staff
- In conjunctive with Corp HR coordinate all on-boarding and training processes
- In conjunctive with Corp HR coordinate staff departures conduct exit interviews
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field of study. PHR certification a plus.
- Minimum 3 + years of progressive human resources generalist experience with an emphasis on employee relations (logistics environment preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years training and recruiting experience Previous facilitation/training experience a plus.
- Must be able to travel to the West Coast US region
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and within groups.
- Customer service minded professional - Resourceful with strong problem-solving skills; able to develop alternative solutions and resolve employee issues.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.
- Experience with HR information systems (i.e. Paylocity / UKG).
- Proven track record of forming effective relationships with client groups.
- Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels required.
- Experience with employment practices, recruitment and human resource policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
