SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist is a core part of the Corporate HR team and is dedicated to providing exceptional service and working collaboratively, selflessly and professionally. This detail-oriented and data-driven role supports our customers through the collection, analysis, and reporting of data; while also leveraging interpersonal skills to develop rapport and trusting relationships. The position will regularly provide HR generalist support for the business and oversee various processes throughout the year for the corporate HR team and handle special projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management

  • Maintain Corporate HR Dashboard and update reporting or resource sites for team

  • Support recruiting processes with data and statistics for trends and patterns

  • Process or review status changes (transfers, promos, terminations, LOAs)

  • Resolves issues related to payroll, HRIS processes, employee relations, unemployment, invoices, as they arise

  • Manage visa/immigration process by liaising with immigration attorney and business leaders

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues related to Payroll, HRIS, STD/LOA, unemployment claims and workers compensation, policies/procedures, as they arise

  • Assist with annual Talent Review process

  • Work on Organizational Design/Development and Learning and Development projects as assigned

COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong sense of urgency and desire to provide high level of customer service

  • Must have strong data management, analysis and reporting skills

  • Requires business acumen and managing relationships with customers/stakeholders

  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations & awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance

  • Able to work with all levels of employees and management within the organization

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities

  • Ability to deal with the uncertainties of an evolving, dynamic organization in a professional manner

  • Ability to handle pressure and changing pace; able to move between varying assignments

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

  • 3-5 years progressive HR experience, demonstrating knowledge in one or more of the following areas: HR generalist experience and partnership using and leveraging systems, data analytics

  • Bachelor's degree in HCM, business administration, industrial psychology or related field

  • Strong technical background using multiple software platforms including Microsoft Office/Google

  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems

  • Workday a plus
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Experience partnering and collaborating in a team environment
