Mission

Responsible for providing human resource services and products that perpetuate and enhance the Levy culture and vision and values. Results are achieved through intelligent, professional and practical communication, management and leadership skills. Major areas of responsibility will be recruiting, training, compensation and employee relations.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Operations

  • Oversees updates to location management and team member training programs and supports location management in accomplishing standards

  • Oversees quarterly team member training according to location objectives

  • Ensures team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobs

  • Communicates team member performance appraisals to location management to ensure timely execution

  • Accurately completes and updates the weekly Recruiting Report

  • Follows the SRF and SAF process to effectively process the administrative portion of the position

  • Practices and promotes consistent and equitable application and enforcement of all policies and procedures

  • Fosters strong relationships with operations by making accessibility and responsiveness a priority

  • Acts as a resource for managers on employee relations

Controls

  • Effectively uses all financial control systems

  • Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable Levy systems

  • Achieves assigned delegated budget goals

  • Maintains up-to-date team member insurance payments and proper accounting for all insured team members

  • Maintains and audits all team member employment files to ensure all Core Signature standards are maintained

  • Processes and audits all new hire documentation to ensure accuracy

  • Executes Levy Creating Legends classes and new hire orientation according to standard

  • Ensures all hourly positions are filled according to operational needs

Team

  • Oversees all on-site Human Resources functions and effectively interacts with Home Office Human Resources department

  • Supports the development and administration of effective team member retention and recruiting programs, while monitoring effectiveness and trends in attrition

  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team

  • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale

  • Conducts benefits meetings and on-going communications related to team member benefits

  • Effectively communicates the Levy culture to current and potential employees

  • Administers company recognition systems

  • Conducts regular scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members

  • Interviews, hires, trains and develops team members according to Levy guidelines

  • Displays a positive attitude towards team members

  • Mentors department managers to develop their skills and leadership abilities

Job Requirements

  • Able to communicate effectively with management team, guests and team members by speaking and comprehending English

  • English reading, writing, math and computer skills required

  • Stamina to work 60 hours or more per week

  • Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates

  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts

  • Possible job hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts and strains

  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout shift

  • Ability to use hands in using office equipment, including the computer system

  • Ability to talk and hear to conduct phone correspondence

  • Close vision and focus capabilities to view computer screen and company documents

In this high impact role, you will partner with the Senior Vice President of Operations within our Children & Family Services Operating Group, other HR colleagues, and other key operations stakeholders to support 8 states (Massachusetts, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Alabama, and Pennsylvania) with combined revenues of $150M). Reporting to the Chief HR Officer, you will plan, develop, and lead HR initiatives, programs, and activities that support business goals and objectives. The staff and programs you will support provide adolescents and families with innovative, quality services and care that lead to growth and independence. Description Essential Job Functions To perform this job successfully, the selected candidate must be able to effectively perform each essential function listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Lead and direct the HR function for the delivery of effective human resources services such as recruitment and retention, employee relations, training and development, and performance management and coaching to the business group covering multiple states. * Develop and provide proactive HR solutions to complex workforce related issues. * Organize, plan, develop, and direct the implementation and administration of human resources activities for the operating group and carry out policies and procedures relating to all phases of HR activities that support the regional business group's business goals and objectives. * Enhance organizational effectiveness by identifying and analyzing current circumstances, implementing organizational development initiatives, and providing training programs. * Participate in the development and maintenance of succession plans, and recommending new organization structures. * Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for the Operating Group. Identify HR implications of these plans and recommend innovative programs and solutions. * Lead the planning and implementation of the operating group's human resources related strategic and tactical business plans for theoperating group. * Manage three direct reports, and support issues with respective team of HR staff. This includes performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. * Regularly review and analyze metrics data to identify developing trends and keep leadership informed of developing trends that impact the business. * Ensure consistent application of HR programs, policies, and practices used across The Network. * Actively participate in the business planning activities for the Operating Group. Confer with management and leadership to plan business objectives, and coordinate HR functions. Provide input in the development of policies. * Conduct needs assessment to identify, develop, and implement training and other workforce related programs as appropriate. * Collaborate with leaders on the quality improvement process to develop, retain employees and promote quality service. * Ensure the proper resolution of employee relations issues. Conduct internal investigations, review and approve employee discharges and other disciplinary actions. Ensure the proper administration of employee layoffs and workforce transition efforts. * Provide coaching to managers on the most effective ways of addressing employee issues. Improve employee satisfaction by identifying and responding to concerns and developing leadership and morale-building programs. * Maintain a current knowledge of organizational effectiveness throughout Operating Group. Review information such as employee exit data, turnover, statistics, and complaints to identify problem areas and trends. Develop and administer corrective action plans. * Performs other related duties and activities as required. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct and supervise assigned staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training. Make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolve employee problems within position responsibilities.
