Position: Human Resources Coordinator/Representative
Duration: Co-Op Opportunity
Purpose: As member of the human resources team, coordinate and assist in the execution and implementation of human resource processes and systems.
1.Company Culture: Understands Multi-Color culture around our Core Values. Demonstrates values and principles as they interact with employees and managers.
2.Organization Development & Planning: Understands core business objectives, who the customers are, and how the HR goals link to business priorities.
3.Organization Health: Supports pieces of implementation to address workplace environment, employee engagement or retention issues; supports administration of associate engagement surveys.
Supports investigations for employee relations issues, addresses low risk ER issues. May contribute to planning of engagement activities. Compliance tracking.
4.Workforce Planning & Talent Acquisition: Understands department recruiting strategies and goals.
Provides data to support sourcing strategies (i.e. insufficiencies or gaps in talent capability). May participate in peer level interviews. Coordinates department specific on-boarding paperwork and conducts new employee orientation.
5.Talent Management & Development: Provides guidance and support to managers on performance related matters.
May support internal communications related to training and development. May provide routine trainings on various topics. Shares information and acts as a central resource for talent processes.
6.HR Operations: Responsible for data entry related to new hire paperwork, employee changes, pay changes etc.
Understands, collects data and pulls reports from HR tools, may key in/maintain data in system. Ensures quality of data through regular audits, identifies process improvements within direct area of work. Serves as a point of contact to answer questions for employee life events (i.e.: day to day questions and issues that arise in employee experience) Encourages the behavior of self service for employees. Applies fundamentals of employment law, deep understanding of MCC policies and services available to employees.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA's)
Literate in Microsoft Office or the equivalent.
Articulate and clear in the spoken and written word. Make effective presentations to employees.
Proficient in basic mathematical calculations. Must be detail oriented.
Travel and move about in offices and plants. Demonstrate a professional image.
Two to four years' experience as a human resources coordinator, or generalist in a fast-paced HR department. Associate's degree or bachelor's degree preferred; PHR Certification, a plus.
Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making. Read and analyze documents.
Ability to exercise judgment with time sensitive and confidential associate issues. Ability to multi-task. Must have strong initiative.
Relate to people at all levels of the organization.
