Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary:

Texas Medical Center (TMC) is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the HR department, playing a vital role in the overall efficient and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Respond to common inquiries from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, and hiring processes. Escalate more complex issues to senior HR staff or management as needed.
• Act as a liaison between TMC and external benefits providers and vendors, including health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
• Conduct or assist with new hire orientation, helping to integrate new employees smoothly into the organization.
• Assist in planning and executing special events, such as benefits enrollment sessions, company-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday celebrations, and retirement parties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by HR management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn HRIS systems, including ADP and other relevant software.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree in a related field is required.
• Previous office experience in a similar role is preferred.
