The Role

The individual in this role will serve as a visible representative for administrative matters for Human Resources,

including fielding employee inquiries, managing employee records and data, and supporting HR projects and

processes. The individual in this role must exhibit a high level of professionalism and demonstrate discretion

with confidential and sensitive information. The HR Coordinator must be able to multi-task, providing excellent

customer service to employees and HR staff while also contributing to HR projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Administration

  • Responds to employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, policies and procedures

  • Ensures appropriate approvals for personnel change requests and enters information into HR systems

  • Responds to requests for employment verifications

  • Creates and maintains employee personnel files in HRIS

  • Assists with maintaining organization charts and headcount updates

  • Assists with releasing announcements, updating pictures and documents and other HR content on the company intranet

  • Tracks and processes MetaThanks awards and other employee recognition programs

  • Organizes HR department files and materials, new hire inventory, and supplies as needed

  • Assist with scheduling exit interviews and coordinates off-boarding notices and documents and action items as needed

  • Provides general administrative support to the HR department

  • Support or oversee additional tasks, as assigned, to support the business

Onboarding

  • Coordinates background checks, drug screens, new hire paperwork, and I-9 verification

  • Coordinates new hire on-boarding process from file creation to orientation

  • Prepare materials and oversee new hire orientation

  • Conducts new hire check-in sessions to include providing Company policy and benefits overview and insuring proper completion of new hire paperwork

  • Oversee the onboarding survey for new hires and conduct quarterly

Talent Acquisition

  • Provide TA support as needed (job posting in ATS, offer letter creation, PCF creation, etc.)

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

  • Prepare HR reports and metrics as required, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making

Payroll Support

  • Assist payroll activities and reporting

  • Assist with cutting final paychecks as needed

  • Assist payroll and HR audits as needed

HR Team and Project support

  • Oversee PO's and invoice processing

  • Support Team Thrive and employee engagement activities ·

  • Support ongoing HR projects such as and not limited to: SharePoint updates, policy assignments where applicable, process improvements, summer internship program, data clean up in HRIS, data management in HRIS, etc.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required

  • 2+ years of relevant HR experience required, including data entry, and supporting other HR functions

  • Previous recruiting experience required

Knowledge of

  • Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Attention to detail and thoroughness (ability to follow through with requests for information)

  • Ability to assess customer needs, understand causes and ramifications, and determine appropriate course of action

Compensation

The current hourly range for this full-time role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $29.00/hr. to $31.00/hr.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

A minimum of 2-3 workdays per week are to be conducted at the Metagenics Aliso Viejo office - 25 Enterprise, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656.
