Job Summary Statement:

This role has primary responsibility for entering and maintaining Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Timekeeping system. The individual in this role also provides support for Benefits and Payroll department.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preserves integrity and accuracy of Human Resources Information System including conducting import of new hire information into HRIS, and input and updates of all personnel information

  • Serves as liaison between employee and management to answer questions regarding company practices, regulations, compensation, and/or benefits

  • Supports company leave administration process including assisting employees in leave requests and administration of disability insurance programs

  • Assists employees and answers questions about company health benefit programs including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, 401(k), FSA accounts and other ancillary plans

  • Conducts new employee orientations for Benefits and Payroll/HRIS.

  • Assists Benefits Supervisor with leave related timekeeping to ensure all weekly employee time is completed and approved accurately

  • Works with Supervisor to analyze and corrects issues related to HRIS system; creates and maintains historical documentation related to corrections

  • Assists Contingent Workforce Team by determining data needs, contributing expertise on HRIS practices/procedures to achieve objectives, and compiling reports for deliverables

  • Provides backup to Supervisor for employee benefits enrollment/termination processes with carriers

  • Assists in conducting benefit meetings, such as the annual open enrollment process and new benefit introductions

  • Works with supervisor on the implementation of health and wellness initiatives.

  • Assists Supervisor with vendor payments/invoices for all health and welfare plans.

  • Coordinates with finance on employee headcount for reporting and budget reviews

  • Coordinates with cost accounting on labor hours and payments

  • Assists with benefits for payroll preparation, administration, and processing

  • Maintains Attendance points system in HRIS system; responsible for weekly points run and administration to ensure accuracy and correction of points as requested

  • Prepares Ad Hoc reports related to HRIS for leadership

  • Provides backup to payroll coordinator with timekeeping processes and payroll inquiries

  • Updates and alters new and existing positions within HRIS system

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience

  • 1 year of experience in Human Resources or in high volume customer facing role

  • English & Spanish language skills: Fully bi-lingual in Spanish, able to read, speak and write

  • Proficiency with related software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) / Intermediate Excel.

  • Strong communication skills - oral and written

  • Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • Physical Demands: Office and warehouse environment; able to move around the plant/manufacturing environment, walk long distances, and climb stairs

  • Able to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to handle confidential information.

  • Ability to analyze and question accuracy of documents, request additional information as necessary.

  • Must be able to deal with all levels in the organization.

  • Able to work in a team environment and take initiative individually

  • Experience with data entry - preferably in a HR/Payroll System.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
