The Role

As a Human Resource Co-op at Entegris, you will develop knowledge about Human Resources through exposure to several functional areas; Talent Management & Development, Campus Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits, and Field HR. Throughout your co-op you will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments, project work and participate in on the job training. Our goal is to provide you with a positive co-op experience, filled with "real-work" projects that provide you with the opportunity to contribute through challenging work. This multifaceted position will require an open-minded individual who is ready to apply the education in which they have obtained.

In this role you will

  • Work individually, or as part of a team, to assist with HR related projects to build experience and skills at a pace matched to your demonstrated proficiency

  • Gain an understanding of high-level HR department goals and align proposed solutions with those goals

  • Assist in launching Entegris' first soft skills training including vendor selection, monitoring enrollments, sending reminders and surveys, training logistics and participation of trainings

  • Help with communication, tracking and quality tracking of the annual performance review process

  • Support the Talent Acquisition team with execution and development of the intern and rotational programs

  • Work with managers across the organization on completion of high potential development plans

  • Manage the Onboarding Program including; survey results, propose recommendations and monitor new employee satisfaction

  • Assess future state of automating and digitizing employee forms as part of the onboarding project (including creation of form in HTML)

  • Shadow HR generalists through day-to-day tasks

  • Other tasks as assigned

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

  • Undergraduate working towards a bachelor's degree with a major in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Management, Communications or related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA. Additional requirements might apply

  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Possess strong communication, analytical, organization, customer service and project management skills.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities Mettler Toledo Process Analytics (http://mt.com/pro) and Mettler Toledo Thornton are two units that operate together in Billerica, MA. We are a leading supplier of liquid analytical measurement solutions. Our customers are pharmaceutical, biotech, microelectronics, semiconductor and power generation companies that require pure and ultrapure water monitoring instrumentation. We are currently hiring a Head of Human Resources who reports to the General Manager. In this role, you will have senior HR responsibilities and become a valued member of our senior leadership team managing both business units. Your responsibilities would include: * Partnering with the General Manager and department leaders and developing strong working relationships with Heads of HR from Mettler Toledo units around the country. * Providing leadership and consulting support on matters of goal setting, policy development, and support in linking business and tactical strategies for your two units. * Serving as a principal resource in all aspects of human resources, including compliance with federal and state regulations. * Connecting with about 200 employees within the units at all levels – from the manufacturing floor, to order entry, to senior leaders. * Overseeing all aspects of employee relations, succession planning, recognition and rewards, employee discipline, relocation, compensation, performance evaluations, safe work practices, and wellness programs. * Playing an active role in hiring activities for the units, supporting all hiring managers with modern talent acquisition best practices to attract and retain the best workforce. * Supervising one HR Generalist. What You Need to Succeed * At least 10 years of progressive work experience as a Human Resources professional with at least 3 of those years in a leadership role. * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or similar area of study. * Strong leadership skills, ability to set and communicate direction, execute on defined strategies and lead change. * The ability and comfort to propose new ideas and new ways of thinking to chart our course for continued growth. This is a progressive organization open and ready to embrace fresh approaches and modern practices. * Comfort with the State of Massachusetts employment law. * The ability to travel up to 10% of the time, both domestically and internationally. As a Plus, Do You Also Have? * Experience in manufacturing with a major international corporation. * SHRM-CP and/or PHR certifications. * A Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or similar area of study.
