This position is for a HR Compliance Representative with the US HR Policy & Compliance team. Its purpose is to provide foundational support for the company's equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action (AA) programs. This position will work with HR professionals and employee resource groups (ERG) throughout the organization to uphold the company's values, mitigate risk and ensure compliance to company policy and legal requirements. This position supports all divisions enterprise wide with a specific focus on US governmental regulations and onboarding compliance.

Note: This position can be based at any Caterpillar facility in the United States or remotely anywhere in the United States.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Supports goal adherence, data accuracy and submission of AAP/EEO/Veterans reporting to the US government

  • Supports internal/external audits

  • Performs analysis of HR data and contributes to compliance initiatives

  • Works with HR colleagues to maintain integrity of HRIS data and may perform data entry and audit controls, as needed

  • Supports HR reviews/investigations

  • Management of personnel documentation as it pertains to onboarding compliance

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • College or university degree and 2+ years of practical human resources assignments (in lieu of degree - at least 4 years of practical human resource assignments)

  • Strong MS Excel skill

  • Knowledge of and practical experience with HR policies

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with US government reporting and affirmative action audit response and regulations (specifically related to federal contractors EEO-1, VETS 4212)

  • Intermediate experience with HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, Taleo, or Workday

  • Firm understanding of recruiting practices and policies

  • Experience training and presenting

  • Experience conducting investigations

  • Experience with areas of onboarding compliance such as I-9 compliance, background checks, personnel records management

  • Strong data analysis capability with excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Understanding or experience of report generation in HRIS systems

  • Good human relations and communication skills

  • Exceptional organization and time management

  • Strong customer focus

Moderate travel required (5-15% of working time)

In this role, you will be responsible for leadership, guidance, counsel, oversight, and support of all critical and strategic human resource needs and initiatives for PSLD's Steel and Specialty Products organization. This position provides strategic HR Leadership to functional organizations including Engineering, Commercial, Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain with nearly 3500 employees at 20+ facilities around the world. Responsibilities include leadership and execution of strategic workforce planning, talent management, organizational design, labor relations and employee and leadership development. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and driving the business strategy of PSLD's globally diverse business through supportive HR leadership and services with a customer focused mindset while ensuring that change management is embedded throughout our business strategy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to become a trusted business partner for leaders, have strong business acumen and strategic thinking while delivering practical, results orientated solutions. Qualifications Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Provide leadership and expertise for the full scope of Human Resource functions for client groups including: organizational development, diversity & inclusion, strategic workforce planning, talent pipeline & development and employee engagement. * Partner with business leaders to attract, assess, develop and retain critical talent for the organization while driving a meaningful employee experience. * Support and coach business leaders to create a high-performing work environment to maximize capability individually and collectively. * Provide consistent direction and coaching to business unit leaders and facilitate leadership and employee development. * Provide HR/business execution guidance and coaching to global manufacturing operations HR personnel. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in addition to 10+ years of HR experience * Significant generalist experience supporting global businesses and all employee types (production and staff) * A minimum of 3 years leadership experience Top Candidates Will Also Have: * Strong business judgment, business acumen and ability to utilize data to bring solutions * Previous HR supporting Operations or functional Operations experience * Excellent influencing, coaching and interpersonal skills * Ability to innovate and willing to challenge the status quo * Internal and external customer service focus * Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills * Ability to create a vision, lead change and strive for continuous improvement * Demonstrated success in a matrixed organizational structure Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
