Majestic Steel is excited to add a People Operations (HR) Business Partner to our People Operations team in Cleveland Our People Operations Business Partner provides tactical and strategic support to their assigned region in the areas of talent selection and management, onboarding, associate relations, performance management, talent development, policy interpretation and compliance, benefits and compensation administration and leadership coaching and development. They will partner with leadership to support business objectives and promote a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment and development.

What you will do: Forms effective relationships with the business unit and consults with area leadership, providing People guidance when appropriate. Supports and provides guidance and coaching to area leadership and other stakeholders as appropriate (e.g., associate counseling, career development, performance management, disciplinary actions, policy interpretation etc.). Works closely with area leadership and associates to enhance working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Collaborates with business unit leadership to identify talent needs, skill gaps and developmental needs, create and update job descriptions, and design talent development strategies to meet the needs of the business. Develops and implements innovative recruiting strategies to attract and retain top talent. Manages the full recruitment cycle, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.

Attends recruitment events, for example career fairs; open interviews, college relations programs, general networking to help ensure robust candidate pipeline. Conducts or facilitates new hire orientation activities for associates joining the organization in the assigned business unit to accelerate new hires in integration, productivity and understanding the organization's mission, vision and values, structure, culture, benefits, policies and expectations. Coaches hiring managers on techniques for successful associate onboarding and integration.

Administers the execution of personnel policies, procedures and programs, proving guidance and interpretation for assigned region; responds to associate inquiries on policy interpretation and administration, benefits, payroll, timekeeping and related topics. Mediates and resolves associate relations issues; conducts thorough and objective investigations when necessary. Partners with corporate People Operations management to resolve complex benefits, payroll, and associate relations issues.

Collaborates with corporate resources to provide training, learning and talent development programs to meet the needs of the business. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with Business Partner peers to develop solutions, programs and policies. Evaluates issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for People Operations solution and program design i.e., training to address needs.

Acts as change agent to business through process design and approaches that support change and transformation, striving to lead mutual process to best practice status. Collaborates with corporate People Operations to manage and/or support annual human capital deliverables including performance management, merit compensation review, benefits enrollment, training and compliance and other related activities. Leads talent management initiatives, including performance management, employee development, and succession planning.

Facilitates, promotes and supports associate engagement through ongoing activities, programs and initiatives. Manages offboarding processes including conducting exit interviews. Coaches supervisors and managers on leadership and people management skills.

Facilitates training and development sessions. Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned. Additional: Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively from a home office setting.

Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed. Must be able to travel or work at an outside location up to 25% Who you are: Education, Training and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience. Three (3) years HRBP in manufacturing or similar industrial setting, including recruiting, talent acquisition and/or human resources management experience. Technologically savvy and experience working with Microsoft Office products and Windows-based applications.

Preferred Requirements: Five (5) years HRBP in manufacturing or similar industrial setting, including recruiting, talent acquisition and/or human resources management experience. PHR, SPHR or other HR certification.

Experience working with UKG HCM System. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, employment lase and performance management.

Proven ability to successfully coach associates and management through complex and difficult issues. Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communications skills with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to diverse audiences. Creative, innovative and strategic thinker with proven problem resolution skills and process improvement techniques and ability to translate insights into action.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Highly motivated self-starter, able to prioritize projects, accept responsibility and follow through without close supervision. Proven leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence others.

Ability to research and analyze information and draw valid conclusions and recommendations. Ability to positively impact company culture and the associate experience. Demonstrated project management skills.

Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Trustworthy, discreet, and a high degree of personal integrity to maintain sensitive and confidential information. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor to provide a positive company image to associates, candidates, business partners and the public.
