JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing strategic HR counsel and coaching in supporting the business to achieve their strategic objectives. This includes handling all aspects of human resources for the LFHI employee population to include retail, corporate support and manufacturing locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.

Organizational Development and Projects

  • Deliver training and continuing education that meets current organizational needs as well as prepares the organization for future strategic initiatives

  • Manage projects for continuous improvement within human resources, operations and the company

  • Drive effective engagement initiatives that reinforce the culture

Employee/Labor Relations

  • Maintain an effective talent management process, including: assessments, career development and succession planning

  • Coach and counsel managers and supervisors related to employee relations and/or grievances

  • Provide direction and support for the administration of human resources programs, policies and initiatives

  • Must understand and be proficient in the applications of employment law, including but limited to FLSA, ADA, and FMLA requirements

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
    2.Certificate Desired: SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP
    3.Experience

  • Three years human resources generalist experience

  • Experience and understanding of employment law
    4.Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills

  • Must be a critical thinker, able to effectively handle ambiguity, flexibility

  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects

  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to balance working independently with being a collaborative team member

  • Ability to quickly understand organizational goals, strategic initiatives and key performance indicators

  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English
