We are looking for a HR Business Partner that will join our HR team. This position can be based in either Falls Church, Virginia or Houston, Texas (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). Reporting to the Director of HR Business Partners, the person in this role will serve as a key liaison between management and HR. They will provide support for specific business segments, address challenges, and leverage their HR expertise to drive positive outcomes, focusing on employee relations and performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a solid understanding of our total business solutions, our competitive landscape, and our business operations/interdependencies as well as HR best practices, legal compliance requirements, company policies, procedures and programs. Build and maintain relationships with management in order to drive the execution of HR solutions while ensuring a high degree of relevance and impact. Serve as a business SME for others within HR and HR solutions/services SME for the rest of the company.

  • Provide HR Business support for identified segment of the business. Partner with designated leaders to address challenges and opportunities within their regions, leveraging SME knowledge of HR offerings and internal relationship networking. Serve as a connection to HR service areas as appropriate. Partner closely with HR leaders and proactively provide insights to enable better outcomes. Work closely with HR Operations & Delivery on employee relations and performance management needs for designated population. Ensure proper compliance to legal and regulatory requirements, resolving employee issues.

  • Assess and diagnose challenges and opportunities related to organizational effectiveness and readiness for designated population and where appropriate full company. Analyze various data points and metrics to identify trends which in order to identify underlying issues and/or opportunities, measure impact, etc.. on areas of significance for the business. Provide regular reporting to CHRO.

  • Participate in the identification, development, implementation and management of key programs, such as diversity & inclusion, mentoring programs, employment value proposition, and other programs/initiatives geared at driving business results and human capital impact.

  • Play key role in employee engagement survey and analysis, leading key initiatives identified through the engagement survey and analysis of other data points (such as exit survey) in the development of employee engagement initiatives to drive intent to stay and increase discretionary effort. Communicate and educate employees at all levels on company's culture, policies and practices, engendering an environment that encourages open and productive interactions.

  • Working with the CHRO and other HR leaders, participate in leadership development initiatives and programs. Work with managers and supervisors on one-on-one basis to provide support related to leadership competencies within designated region(s).

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in a business environment partnering with others to drive improved outcomes for the business through human capital initiatives.

  • Strong coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, program management, process development, analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships throughout varying levels and functions within an organization. Ability to build a strong network both inside and outside of HR and business colleagues to better enable best practice sharing.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide consultative support to management on critical organization issues in a dispersed environment.

  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to multitask. Must be a self-starter who holds self accountable for delivering timely results.

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, human resources, finance or related field, MBA preferred. PHR, SHRM- CP, SPHR or SHRM-SCP designation desired.

  • Four to seven years of experience as a consultative HR Business Partner role in a dispersed multi-state/international environment preferred.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws in a multi-state and international environment.
