SUMMARY OF PURPOSE

Our Human Resources team champions our culture by working tirelessly to attract and retain the best talent. The HR Business Partner will partner directly with delegated lines of business to provide HR counsel and support. The HRBP is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to Kasasa. The role will be critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Infuse the Patch Values into your work ethic, every day and every interaction.

  • Partner with Senior Leaders within the organization regularly.

  • Serve assigned lines of business in all manners of HR.

  • Have a true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to all levels of employees and managers.

  • Identify training needs and create or procure professional development curriculum

  • Support and facilitate workshops for managers

  • Attend meetings with respective business units as well as executive leadership.

  • Create and drive effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs.

  • Be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.

  • The ability to think big but also not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".

  • Have a solutions-driven focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong, frequent deliverables.

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct thorough, effective and objective investigations.

  • Assist on audit requests to ensure compliance.

  • Provide proactive support, guidance and advice to managers on HR and Kasasa policy, industry trends and legal matters.

  • Analyze data trends and metrics to inform business decisions

  • Develop, prepare, generate and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as benefits costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, affirmative action/EEO, compensation, promotions, etc.

  • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Identify trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management, employees and retirees accordingly.

  • Strong internal and external customer service focus.

  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a bias for action-orientated results.

  • Lead enterprise projects annually.

  • Must be able to interface at all levels of the organization.

  • Have a passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS; or equivalent related experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in HR with demonstrated growth and increased responsibilities

  • 4+ years' experience in a HR Business Partner role

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

  • Proven history of delivering results in an HR function

  • Organized and attention-to-detail approach (strong, tactical execution)

  • Familiarity with legal requirements, regulations, compliance issues and best practices across multiple states

  • Proven ability to understand and explain complex concepts to others

  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environment

  • Strong business acumen

  • High level of integrity must show good judgement and confidentiality at all times

  • Familiar with HRIS (Paycor preferred)

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Experience working with benefit brokers

  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company

  • Ability to work in highly complex business where mental flexibility and critical thinking skills are required.

  • Ability to weigh pros and cons of a situation and make a sound decision/form an opinion objectively

  • Must be legally allowed to work in the U.S.

Position Overview The HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met. * Other duties as necessary Qualifications * Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience resolving complex employee relations issues. * Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. * Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience. * SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
