As an HR Business Partner (HRBP). You will be responsible for assisting field leadership in aligning business objectives and initiatives with staffing and resources within your designated business units. The HRBP is a professional who provides HR guidance, analyzes key metrics, resolves employee relations issues, and works with management to improve work relationships and productivity The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and team members that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about HR practices and policies, business conditions and initiatives, and federal, state and local laws. This role will serve as a consultant to field leadership, act as a team member champion and change agent.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Vision & Purpose

Serves as a consultant to leaders and team members on human resource related issues focused on providing viable options and an informed opinion to guide decision making. Assist leadership in all areas of HR including compliance, orientation/integration, performance management, culture transformation, team member engagement, professional/career development, talent acquisition, strategic workforce planning and employee relations.

Customer Obsession

Actively partner to help improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention strategy. Oversee performance management of team members and store/shop managers to include coaching, counseling, career development, and succession planning. Provide leadership and guidance on employee relations issues by overseeing and conducting investigations into team member and guest complaints, making appropriate recommendations based on outcomes, and following the case through completion.

Employee Experience

Contribute to the development of HR programs designed to reinforce Company strategies and initiatives. Partner with HR Leadership by providing informed recommendations intended to drive improvements to compliance, performance, efficiency, and engagement such as changes to policy and procedure, turnover analysis, and improvements of HR capabilities. Responsible for participating on HR projects from implementation to completion and for using project management methodologies and tools, as appropriate.

Will provide guidance and support on business functions and initiatives such as business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning, performance management, talent acquisition, and team member development. Completes a GAP analysis to understand the heart of any issue and makes recommendations and/or provides guidance that are both People First and Company focused. Acts as a change agent when managing organizational change where it relates to core HR activities (department restructuring, severances, new policies, etc.) Recognizes potential strategic employee relations issues and takes or recommend necessary action.

Performance Excellence

Provide direction on team member issues to ensure the uniform and equitable application of the organization's policy and practices. Manage and resolve team member issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.

HR Certification: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR a plus

Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Human Resource or HR generalist role.

Experience with talent management and employee relations investigations preferred. Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws required. Retail experience including store experience helpful.

Technical/Other Skills Required:

  • Experience with Workday preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and ability to achieve impact and influence through quality information, access and awareness.

  • Strong and proven abilities with change management, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Will require periodic travel to meetings and site visits.

  • Must be available for emergencies outside of normal business hours.
