SUMMARY: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) has responsibility for providing advice and consultation to managers, supervisors and associates in the area of employee relations in accordance with local, state and federal laws and Arvest?s mission, values and ethics. The HRBP builds strong partnerships to foster trust and accountability with all stakeholders, and focuses on developing strategic customer relationships to provide professional consultation regarding performance, organizational development, staffing, compensation and other business initiatives that are essential to the development and retention of a high performing team. The HRBP proactively translates business needs into HR solutions. The incumbent is also responsible for adhering to and supporting the Arvest Mission Statement, Core Values, and Code of Ethics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Act as a consultant and business partner to management on employee relations decisions by thoroughly vetting various courses of action related to our business, customers, and associates; provide recommendation and options with rationale. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values. Ensure that escalated management and associate issues are resolved with urgency.
Apply knowledge of HR principles to resolve complex and variable issues.Ensure consistent interpretation and application of employment practices.Manage risk by ensuring the application of all HR practices, policies and standards adhere to relevant legal/compliance requirements.
Drive performance management through a variety of actions including, but not limited to, program development, training, job description guidance and facilitation of performance calibration sessions. Develop and deliver group specific presentations on topics central to management and leadership development. Communicate upward feedback to provide management and leadership with candid advice and coaching regarding development opportunities. Conduct team develop sessions to improve effectiveness of team outcomes.
Act as a consultant and advocate to associates seeking guidance or advice on their career aspirations, their performance, company policies and expectations, or the organization as a whole.
Monitor assigned divisions? statistical data including trends in turnover, absences, and issues related to management, performance, etc. in order to address such areas with management and aid in the development of issue resolution. Identify and diagnose issues proactively. Develop, recommend and implement root cause solutions that enhance employee engagement/experience and business results in a timely manner.
Champion employee engagement surveys and initiatives.Assist management and leadership in the development of project, communication, action and evaluation plans.
Identify, research and address compensation issues with management and leadership in accordance with local, state and federal laws. Coordinate the annual Salary Review Management (SRM) process for the business unit(s). Make recommendations that ensure alignment with Arvest?s compensation strategy and regulatory guidelines.
Participate in business unit meetings/presentations to support leadership and provide updates on HR-related goal progress. Support area leaders and discuss HR-related issues as appropriate.
Effectively facilitate implementation of HR initiatives. Deliver service with a process improvement mindset to increase effectiveness and efficiency.Successfully advocate for and manage change.Demonstrate influence as a change agent.
Facilitate the interactive process discussions related to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA).
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
Support and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement.
Uphold the Arvest Code of Ethics and ensure that confidential information is safeguarded.
Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
