Overview LOGISTEC is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. $80,000 - $90,000/yr. annual bonus plan Benefits, PTO, Paid Holidays, 401K with match Must be available to travel to any East Coast Location ocasionally and to work sites in Texas and Montreal for support. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources management or industrial relations.

Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in the HR Business Partner role. Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially employee relations, change management and HR operations. A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.

Position mainly based in our operations in Baltimore, Maryland requiring travel to different sites. Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite tools and good command of social media, including LinkedIn. Extensive experience using HRIS and other HR systems and technology.

Skills sought: Business acumen, results-oriented approach and problem solving. Know how to use one's role to influence others.

Excellent leadership, initiative, and communication skills, both verbal and written. Analytical and interpretation skills. Ability to listen and understand the needs of employees, together with those of the company.

Ability to work in a team and collaborate. Rigor, attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience working in a unionized environment.

Logistec_us Responsibilities Play an advisory role to managers and staff throughout the network of ports and terminals in the United States.

Provide timely information and thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy for all levels of the company on HR issues. Act as a resource person for all employees. Participate in the development of HR programs including talent acquisition, talent management, training, compensation, labor relations and learning and development.

Partner with management to develop and implement effective human resources policies and practices, measure progress and results, and ensure consistent application. Provide HR expertise in the management and resolution of various employee relations issues (feedback, investigations, disciplinary meetings, drafting of disciplinary measures, terminations), including unionized employees. Participate in the development of recruitment strategies in collaboration with Logistec's Talent Acquisition team.

Participate in the implementation of annual HR processes including performance reviews and compensation cycle. Partner with Learning & Development to work on value-added programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, and job performance. Educate, coach and partner with managers on organizational and people-related strategy and execution (promotions, re-organizations, employee development, succession planning). Champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.

Ensure proper onboarding of new employees and utilize engagement survey results to help managers fully engage their people. Create, analyze, and interpret key HR performance data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions; the ability to work with Excel is required. Advise managers in the interpretation and application of collective agreements and act as a front-line representative to union employees.
