STV is seeking a Senior level Human Resources Business Partner for work in our Charlotte, NC office.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Implements corporate policy at the business unit or division level

  • Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts

  • Works with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues and develops action plans to resolve the issues

  • Assists senior management in the development of solutions through change management and process improvement

  • Develops and drives company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, promotions/appointments, organizational change, career development and succession planning)

  • May select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

  • Other day-to-day transactional responsibilities (performance improvement plans, employee relocations, advise on compensation and total rewards issues, employee moves)

Required Skills:

  • Ability to participate with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives

  • Experience making final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives

  • Ability to work on complex issues requiring an in-depth knowledge of the company

  • Corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people

  • Strong consultative skills; very good knowledge of HR core competencies talent acquisition, compensation, talent management)

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal platforms

  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills

Additional requirements:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years progressive human resources experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field

  • HR Certification (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Workday (HRIS System) experience preferred

  • General reporting Skills, strong verbal communication, and administrative writing skills; strong analytical skills

  • Ability to travel (20% to 25%)

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction and management of human resources as it pertains to compliance, recruitment, team member development, succession planning, and employee relations. As a key member of the BIC Charlotte Supply Chain and Operations Leadership Team, this role partners with leadership to drive performance and continued enhancement of the organization's culture and capability across our packaging and distribution locations in Charlotte, NC. Main Responsibilities / Tasks: * Implements effective processes and learning solutions that support employees' advancement and development (includes talent management, assessment, learning & development and facilitation) * Manages comprehensive and competitive reward and recognition frameworks to attract, retain and engage talent * Manages the overall talent acquisition process, negotiates competitive offers and designs local onboarding practices * Implements HR operational strategies with a high level of compliance and effectiveness and recommends changes to procedures when appropriate * Acts as the in‐house subject matter expert for local employment law and employee relations related investigations and recommends solutions to issues that are identified * Evaluates the labor environment and current trends to recommend and implement appropriate responses * Partners with management team to design and implement a work place environment that engages team members, while meeting legal and business requirements * Ability to lead or contribute to the evolution of organizations & processes, through people adoption strategies & project management skills * Provides trusted guidance to management team by analyzing challenges, identifying opportunities and engaging in or building collaborative solutions * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field with PHR or SPHR certification, master's Degree Preferred. * Minimum of 7+ years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist capacity in a multi-site manufacturing and/or distribution environment. * Strong Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS, Taleo Enterprises. * Fundamental understanding of Employment Law and Investigations * Delivery and development of performance management plans * Capable of appropriately handling highly confidential documents and information * Highly organized and able to prioritize, in a fast-paced environment * Ability to gain trust and credibility with the workforce and lead organizational change * Demonstrate strong computer and internet research skills * Ability to self-manage and multi-task efficiently; competent time manager * Ability to analyze and interpret data and identify links in details to make fact-based conclusions * Deals with ambiguity effectively and demonstrates a balance of courage and risk taking in decision making * Is a self-starter and willing to roll up his/her sleeves; takes initiative, is proactive and detail oriented * Has high standards of execution and a sense of urgency to resolve issues * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Apply Today!
