ManTech is seeking a Human Resources Associate to our Herndon, VA location.


  • Performs a variety of administrative/professional Human Resources functions in areas such as recruitment, hires, tuition, compensation, employee relations, and benefits administration

  • Collects, analyzes and processes paperwork for functional area, according to established policies and procedures

  • May prepare internal employee communications regarding benefits, employee relations or company policies

  • Provides guidance to staff regarding HR policies and procedures

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • 2 years of experience

  • Bachelors degree

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Familiar with working in a shared service

  • Experience with Workday

Forcepoint is seeking an HRBP for our Herndon location. This is an ideal temporary opportunity for an energetic and innovative HR professional who would like to join a fast-moving cyber security leader. As part of the Forcepoint Global HR team, you'll be aligned with our G2CI organizations and bring strong functional human resources expertise, business acumen, cultural awareness, consultative skills, and customer service orientation. The person in this role should have proven experience understanding business concepts and aligning business needs with HR support and solutions to move the business ahead. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate interpersonal awareness to effectively build and sustain strong partnerships with trust and credibility across the business. Essential Functions * Provides HR Business Partner (HRBP) support for key groups within the Company * Conduct bi-weekly discussions with 15-20 managers. * Attend monthly meetings with management direct employees * Attend Business Ops monthly meetings * Actively engages with the business/function to learn about key issues/challenges, works with business leaders on the plan of action to resolve and/or prioritize * Applies strong business acumen about the company/industry/business/function, organizational financial health and effectiveness, culture and our competition * Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention * Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation – (Knowledge of OFCCP / HR & Payroll coordination / Terminations / Hires) * Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal department as needed/required. * Understand when action is necessary and able to work with HR Director or fellow HRBP's to create action plan. * Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate * Responsible for completion of assigned special projects as assigned throughout the year * Communicate and track Year End Performance Reviews * Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, career development, disciplinary actions) * Perform Day to Day ongoing activities * Organize New Hire onboarding process once offer accepted - work with IT, Security, Facilities, Compliance teams * Communicate address changes to appropriate teams * Manage Status Changes, Pay Changes, Anniversary Awards, Recognition Awards – working with Finance, Payroll, HRIS and Compensation teams * Coordinate Termination process after employee resignation notice * Attend weekly meetings with HRBP Team, Bi –Weekly Functional Meetings, Monthly Global Meetings * Send weekly reports updating terminations, transfers and new hires to HQ and Parent Company * Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations * Understand when action is necessary and able to work with HR Director or fellow HRBP's to create action plan. Education, Experience, and Skills * Must have strong leadership gravitas, analytical, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and creative thinking skills * Effective facilitation skills * Engages proactively with the business * Takes initiative and displays a sense of urgency – is highly responsive to business needs and unexpected situations that emerge * Highly approachable and displays a positive approach to work and internal customers * Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once * Strong business and global acumen * Utilizes a consultative approach when engaging with internal customers * Engages with the business to develop meaningful solutions * Strong project management and leadership skills, ability to effectively manage global projects * Stays abreast of external best practices and incorporates these into discussions, decisions and solutions * Ability to use with ease the Microsoft suite of solutions * Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; minimum 8 years' experience working in global organizations * Demonstrated experience in true business partnering * Significant and progressive experience in performance and talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and human resource compliance * Experience with HRIS Workday preferred * PHR or SPHR certification desired Forcepoint Herndon VA
