JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, this position provides Human Resources Services to employees, departments, and external customers of MarinHealth Medical Center. This position usually includes primary responsibility for a particular aspect of the Human Resources Department functions such as benefits, leaves of absence, employment, and/or compensation.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years' experience in a business setting involving heavy public/employee contact.
Human Resources and some HRIS experience required.
PREREQUISITE SKILLS
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
Excellent organizational and time management skills used to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills essential to ensure service excellence in Human Resources and intradepartmental and interdepartmental relationships
Ability to work with others in a flexible and cooperative manner
LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL (not modifiable)
Processing of all employee paperwork and personnel transactions for the area(s) of responsibility in a timely and accurate manner
Responsible for maintaining any record-keeping and reporting databases in area(s) of responsibility. This includes all applicable data displays
Responsible for responding to inquiries and resolving any discrepancies in area(s) of responsibility. Act as liaison with appropriate vendors
Enters assigned data into HRIS and/or related database(s) in a timely and accurate manner, meeting all assigned timelines. Generates specific reports from databases on a scheduled and as needed basis. Verifies reports as requested
May provide basic training and guidance in area(s) of expertise to other Human Resources staff
Provides timely and accurate information in a courteous manner to employees and external customers regarding Human Resources processes, personnel policies, and procedures
Assists other Human Resources staff with special projects on an as needed basis
SECONDARY (modifiable)
Provides front desk coverage and performs other essential functions associated with the front desk

Provide Administrative assistance to ELR Managers to include:
Compliance Reporting & tracking
Adding disciplines to files
Reviewing files for disciplinary history
ELR case tracking, reports and follow up
Mailing and tracking letters
Returning and following up phone calls to employees and management
Create training PowerPoint presentations (content provided by ELR Managers
Notetaking and document organization during Labor Union Negotiations
Have an interest in learning ELR and under ELR Manager supervision:
Conduct conversion analyses
Understand Weingarten Rights and application
Familiarity with union contracts
Maintain the ELR Toolkit
Once approved, complete/process termination paperwork
Conflict resolution
Conduct employee investigations
Conduct AWS votes
Draft disciplines and letters
Unemployment response and tracking

The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on the individual's skills, experience, internal/market equity factors, and qualifications. This posted minimum and maximum range represents the minimum and maximum of what we reasonably expect to compensate for the position. Furthermore, all compensation decisions are ultimately determined in accordance with our compensation philosophy. Compensation for positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by the agreements in the aforementioned document.
