Human Resources Assistant

Pay Rate: $25/hour to $27/hour

Thrive Freeze Dry a rapidly growing manufacturer of freeze dry products is currently looking for a Human Resource Assistant to join the Albion NY HR team. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this role will be responsible for various activities in Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level specifically for recruiting, onboarding and employee engagement activities.

• The successful candidate will be heavily focused on recruiting and staffing for production jobs and will coordinate the processes in the employment cycle from recruitment to termination.

• Utilizing ADP will be responsible for conducting onboarding for all new hires and off-boarding as employees exit the organization.

• Through a multi-faceted recruiting initiative, he or she actively partners with organizational leadership to identify staffing needs and to create accurate job descriptions, job postings and recruit.

• This role will coordinate and communicate employee engagement activities.

• Position will assist in handling employee questions as it relates to benefits, payroll, and company policies.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• 1-2 years' experience working in a Human Resources recruiting.

• Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and prior experience working with HRIS systems.

• Detail oriented with ability to produce accurate work and follow instructions on a routine basis.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• AS/AA Degree or BA/BS Degree

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
