Summary

About the Position: The United States Military Entrance Processing Command (US MEPCOM), Great Lakes (North Chicago), IL, is a joint service command under the direction of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy and is staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces.

These positions will be filled on a Term basis. Please see more information under the Qualifications section.
Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Assistant (Office Automation), you will be responsible for the following:
Process and Track applications from the organization's staff for schools (e.g., university of college) and/or formal training programs.
Act as the registrar for all organization delivered training courses.
Assist in designing the organization's business process to support training registration and enrollment.
Maintain training profiles for civilian and military employees.
Assist in preparing the training budget for the organization.
Assist with the planning of training conference logistics.

Qualifications

This position is a TERM not to exceed 366 days, with provisions to extend up to six years with provisions to be made permanent without further competition.

Assist in identifying employees training needs; or verify/approve requests for training; or assist in scheduling training rooms.
