SUMMARY
Under supervision of the Human Resources Director, the HR Representative provides excellent customer service to all levels of employees by providing daily support to all inquiries; responsible for a wide variety of clerical and record-keeping tasks. Ensures the highest level of confidentiality relating to all information within the Human Resources Department. Works closely with other staff in a team environment to ensure the professional delivery of services in an accurate and confidential manner
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintains human resource information system (HRIS) records and compiles reports from the database
Ensures personnel files are maintained according to standards set by Company and regulatory bodies. Ensure that regular spot audits are performed quarterly to maintain compliance
Responds to all employee questions in a timely manner
Understands and responds to health and wellness benefits
Facilitates presentation and trainings as needed
Participates and assists with benefit open enrollment and other employee events
Interprets Agency policies and procedures and communicates effectively to employees
Ensures personnel files are maintained according to standards set by Company and regulatory bodies. Maintains other file records, as necessary, to same standards
Process invoice allocations pertaining to HR related expenses
Prepares and distributes various staffing reports in a timely manner
Pulls personnel files and requested documentation for external audits
Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
In the course of performing this job, the incumbent typically spends time standing, walking on sloped/hilly areas of campus, carrying, driving, lifting (up to 40 pounds), listening, speaking, reaching, writing, and participating in restraint procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred
1 year administrative experience
Advanced knowledge of word processing, computer programs and basic office procedures
PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
Excellent verbal and written skills
Detail-oriented
Must fulfill all requirements of employment, including clearance of all required background records (e.g. Department of Justice, Child Abuse, California Community Care Licensing, County Sanction List, etc.), professional, physical examination, and drug testing
