Responsible for assisting the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe (JST) Human Resources (HR) Department with day-to-day efficient operations of the HR functions and duties; including special projects, reporting, tracking, compliance, data entry and administrative support. This position supports all functional areas of HR including applicant tracking, employee performance management, background screening, safety, employee benefits and multiple other areas of HR while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Receive, track, and process all incoming invoices for advertising, office supplies, and other HR related invoices as requested
Perform duties that support the onboarding, offboarding, and personnel changes of employees, including but not limited to; documentation processes sing, scheduling for background screens, administering the background screen processes, HRIS data entry, new employee orientations, report maintenance, and distributing all associated documentation in a timely manner.
Assist with general processing and tasks associated with JST's various Employee Benefit Programs as needed
Maintain the employee performance review module, including but not limited to; employee data input, performance process and supervisor assignments, monitor and communicate past due performance reviews, assist management and supervisors as needed, when necessary.
Assemble New Hire Packets and additional employee information materials as needed
Log and monitor incoming Employee Development Action Forms.
Maintain, and keep current, all active and terminated personnel files, I-9 books per record keeping requirements, purging when necessary and completing scheduled internal audits
Remain trained on Human Resources information systems and payroll systems used by JST and be able to provide miscellaneous personnel information to department managers upon request, as well as employee verifications to outside requests as needed.
Track and process all employee recognition gift cards
Review documents for completeness and accuracy
Scan and save completed employee documents into corresponding electronic files, ensuring proper labeling and location is upheld
Conduct employee personnel file audit (paper and electronic), I-9 documentation, Human Resources Information System (HRIS) data, etc.
Scan, maintain, and retain employee personnel files in accordance to the HR Department procedures
General office duties including, but not limited to, supply ordering, filing, and data entry
Adhere to all JST and JFHC policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, and work practices as described in the JFHC Occupational Exposure Control Plan
Maintain and ensure confidentiality and discretion on a daily basis
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Associates Degree required, a Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Three (3) years of administrative experience required, one (1) professional HR work experience preferred
High level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point, Outlook
Exceptional interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication
Valid Driver's License
Must be able to successfully pass criminal background investigation
Knowledge of office administrative operations, including personnel file management, auditing, and compliance
Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrate initiative, work independently with little supervision

Must be available to work any shift (to include all hours, weekends, and/or holidays as job duties require)
Must be able to lift, push and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted
Physical ability to access all areas of the property applicable to your position

Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
