The Human Resources Assistant is the "face of HR" for both internal and external clients, typically, the initial contact for a client's needs. In serving these clients, they represent, enrich, and fortify the company culture by enhancing and exemplifying the core values established by the Executive Leadership team. The position requires a highly confidential, self-motivated, strategic thinking, business-savvy, and results-oriented individual.
HR Team members should serve as role models for the company exemplifying their use of all the core behavioral values in their service delivery. Providing detailed and timely human resources customer service including delivery of accurate, prompt, and courteous assistance to internal and external clients, both verbally and in writing.
A variety of specialized research and reporting including writing and editing documents in assigned area of responsibility such as grants, MOS, and reports while being compliant, timely and accurate and within internal department standards.
Communication reflects professional conduct in all aspects portraying willing, courteous, prompt, accurate, cheerful assistance.
Under the HR Director's guidance provides best practices in meeting goals and strategies.
Assists in processes helping to identify and research human resources issues: contributing accurate and timely information analysis for the department.
Assists with special project results by identifying and clarifying issues; communicating and fulfilling requirements; and providing excellent client service within established timelines.
Complies with federal, state, and local departmental legal requirements.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests as well as exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Must maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion.
May serve on committees as assigned.
Serve as Human Resources liaison and back-up to the Human Resources Division team.
Other duties may be assigned.
Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years of human resources or executive level support experience.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Excel specifically.
Professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of benefits, employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations, safety, and training preferred.

Travel is primarily local during the business day in your own personal vehicle, with a valid driver's license and insurance.
Types with average professional speed (50-80 wpm), emphasis on accuracy.
The majority of time will be spent at a desk using a phone, computer and monitor, and general office equipment; you may be required to reach with hands and arms; sit; stand; talk and hear; use your hands to finger, handle, or feel.
