As a Human Resources Assistant at Gallo Sales Company, you are responsible for providing exceptional service to all employees; our people rely on you! You will be a key contributor in coordinating several activities of HR including recruitment, benefits, onboarding, HR master data and related systems, HR processes, and more. You will have exposure to all areas of Human Resources and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience beyond administrative tasks.
What You Will Do
Prepare, review and distribute reports (i.e. new hire and turnover, open job reports, etc.)
Create and ensure up-to-date content and supply of new hire packets
Maintain office filing system and various trackers (e.g., auto insurance, performance assessments & Company roster)
Complete forms for department changes, manager changes, etc.
Post requisitions, review applications, coordinate interview schedules, screen applications and interface with candidates during the interview processes
Create and send offer letters within the ATS
Manage and track pre-employment guidelines, including background and drug screenings
Prepare conference room and facilitate New Hire Orientation, including reviewing company policies and procedures
What You Need
High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of administrative support experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as a basic level.
Uses discretion when dealing with confidential information.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Good communication skills.
Skilled in identifying, analyzing and resolving problems in a timely manner.
What Will Set You Apart
Human Resources support experience.
Experience executing policies of a collective bargaining agreement.
Skilled in computing rate, ratio, and percent and drawing and interpreting bar graphs.
Experience applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Experience dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
Excellent telephone skills.
Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with all levels of management.
Experience working independently.
Experience exercising confidentiality and making decisions.
