HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT Job Description Summary
Dependable Health Services is seeking a highly professional, growth-oriented individual who is a highly collaborative team member to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department. This position is an integral part of Human Resources and is responsible for a variety of pre-employment and on-boarding functions and other related HR functions. The successful candidate must be self-directed, capable of working with little direct supervision, possess strong organizational skills, provide excellent customer service and be able to perform efficiently in a high volume fast paced office. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting Human Resources department with Recruitment and retention of employees; and assists with maintaining compliance of employee records.
HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Answers and handles employee questions and concerns with the HR Assistant Role
Handles employment application intake
Responsible for organizing the on-boarding process to ensure all new hire documentation is obtained and recorded according to company, state, and federal compliance
Assist with new employee orientations
Performs data entry and personnel file maintenance
Maintains confidential personnel files and compliance of employee records
Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with co-workers
Assists with identifying employee education needs and planning educational classes
Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status
Assists with implementation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure that employee recruitment, selection, and retention procedures are handled in accordance with company policy, applicable laws, and regulations
Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, filing electronic and hard copy.
Assists the HR team with HR related projects
Assists with benefits administration

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT Position Qualifications
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Must have 1 year of clerical/office experience
Must have 2 years of Human Resources experience
Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Must have exceptional communication skills.
Must have proficient skill with Microsoft Office.
Must be available and reliable during Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
