HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT Job Description Summary

Dependable Health Services is seeking a highly professional, growth-oriented individual who is a highly collaborative team member to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department. This position is an integral part of Human Resources and is responsible for a variety of pre-employment and on-boarding functions and other related HR functions. The successful candidate must be self-directed, capable of working with little direct supervision, possess strong organizational skills, provide excellent customer service and be able to perform efficiently in a high volume fast paced office. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting Human Resources department with Recruitment and retention of employees; and assists with maintaining compliance of employee records.

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Answers and handles employee questions and concerns with the HR Assistant Role

  • Handles employment application intake

  • Responsible for organizing the on-boarding process to ensure all new hire documentation is obtained and recorded according to company, state, and federal compliance

  • Assist with new employee orientations

  • Performs data entry and personnel file maintenance

  • Maintains confidential personnel files and compliance of employee records

  • Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with co-workers

  • Assists with identifying employee education needs and planning educational classes

  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status

  • Assists with implementation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure that employee recruitment, selection, and retention procedures are handled in accordance with company policy, applicable laws, and regulations

  • Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, filing electronic and hard copy.

  • Assists the HR team with HR related projects

  • Assists with benefits administration

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT Position Qualifications

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED

  • Must have 1 year of clerical/office experience

  • Must have 2 years of Human Resources experience

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish.

  • Must have exceptional communication skills.

  • Must have proficient skill with Microsoft Office.

Must be available and reliable during Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
