This position is located in either Boston, MA or Philadelphia, PA or Lakewood, CO and works for the Northeast Region Servicing Human Resources Office (SHRO).
The incumbent of this position works in personnel action processing, provides technical assistance to managers, supervisors, employees and higher-grade specialists and applies laws, regulations.
Receives and processes requests for a variety of personnel actions and completes required tasks associated with processing and legally approving personnel actions.
Ensures accuracy and appropriateness of coding and associated documentation.
Initiates all types of personnel actions in the automated personnel processing system as required.
Maintain controls to ensure that requested actions are initiated and processed in a timely manner.
Uploads documents to the Electronic Official Personnel File (eOPF).
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: providing technical and administrative support for human resources personnel, involving the application of personnel management principles, concepts, practices and techniques in HR functions such as processing personnel actions, and pay administration.
You must include hours per week worked.
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: providing technical and administrative support for a human resources, personnel, or administrative office involving the application of personnel management principles, concepts, practices and techniques in HR functions including personnel processing and records maintenance, pay administration, and employee benefits.
