Summary/Objective

DecisionHR which is one of BFCs business solutions as a PEO (Professional Employer Organization). DecisionHR provides administrative services to our clients such as payroll, workers compensation, benefits, and HR consulting. The Human Resource Assistant is a hands-on representative whose job is to help facilitate human resources administrative for DHR clients and/or employees.

Essential Functions

  • Represents DHR as a liaison with internal operations and human resource staff regarding employment activity (i.e., compliance, new hires, terminations, payroll, etc.).

  • Handles confidential information and explains procedures when deemed necessary.

  • Complete E-Verify and issue compliance documentation.

  • Administer clients leave of absences (LOA) in accordance to Federal, State and Company compliance for their employees.

  • Support team with unemployment vendor and client on following up on unemployment claims and documentation follow-ups.

  • Provide administrative support and back-up as needed with administering and managing court order issued documents, EPLI claims and follow-ups.

  • Supports HR Team with administrative tasks and/or performs other duties as assigned.

  • Assist HR Manager with various projects and/or special projects.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position on-site working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8am 5pm.

Required Education and Experience

At least one year administrative and/or Human Resources, preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to establish a good, cooperative relationship with clients.

To learn more about the incredible impact we're making on both our local and global communities, Click Here! #LI-PE1 * Drive effectiveness through Human Resource support for store management recruitment, retention, associate relations, and training. * Support talent management initiatives as required in the field. * Build capability of Store Management to ensure they can attract and retain highly talented part-time staff in a timely fashion and at a reasonable cost. * In conjunction with Human Resources Director, manage change management and harmonization of processes across the region; Partner with the North America HR field team to ensure harmonization across all brands and geographies. * In conjunction with senior field leadership, support succession planning and upskilling initiatives for Store Management. * Ensure state law compliance, efficiency of workflow, local market partnership with Store Managers and field. * Support Field capability as required for regions. * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business. * Minimum 2 years of experience working with management teams in a Human Resources leadership role. * Minimum 1 year of experience with specific Human resources software programs, e.g. PeopleSoft, etc. * Experience with Microsoft Office. * Experience with employment laws. * Proven ability to form strong business partnerships. Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to work with all levels. * Ability to travel required. Travel is weekly, at least 1-2 days between Tues-Thurs. Monday and Friday are typically office days. * Fluency in Spanish preferred. * Minimum 3 years of experience influencing business leaders in a retail setting preferred. * Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or equivalent preferred.
