Title: Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Manager

Location: Independence, MO

Salary: $100,000 - $145,000 plus additional annual bonus opportunity

Schedule: 9/80 available

Relocation Available

Focus: This position engages with the full talent acquisition cycle and is responsible for sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees, as well as working to improve applicant flow and diversity outreach efforts. The position is also an engaged HR Manager with a designated client group and will advise/support on numerous HR day to day activities.

This position offers excellent growth potential and the ability to gain experience and involvement in many areas of Human Resources. In this role, you will lead and develop a small team at the location while developing and directing the implementation of plans/programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources to support location objectives.

Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Manager Essential Job Functions:

  • Partners with hiring managers to source for and fill positions within the guidelines of OFCCP compliance while creating positive candidate experiences

  • Ensures the applicant tracking system and job files are maintained correctly and in a timely manner

  • Involved in a wide range of HR areas including talent acquisition, employee relations, diversity and engagement initiatives, performance management, etc.

  • Explores and recommends opportunities to engage, retain and lift employees through recognition, involvement, and challenging assignments

  • Partners with site managers to establish development plans for employees and determines and delivers training based on organizational needs.

  • Develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's overall strategy.

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to management on HR-related issues and provides guidance.

  • Manages and motivates staff; reviews and assesses performance, develops and builds employee skills, supports their professional development and enables employees to optimize their contribution to the department

Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree* in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Organizational Development/Management, Employment Law, or Business-related discipline

  • 5+ years related human resources generalist and talent acquisition experience; manufacturing/industrial environment experience preferred

  • Excellent client relationship skills. Able to forge strong relationships with internal and external partners and be a visible representative of Olin

  • Ability to handle competing priorities and multi-task efficiently

  • Prior experience in an OFCCP regulated environment preferred

  • Must possess a valid US driver's license

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.

  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.
