THE OPPORTUNITY

The Human Resources and Payroll Administrator is responsible for the administration and processing of payroll on the Human Resources team, serving as the point of contact for all payroll inquiries. This position is also responsible for all internal and external reporting and serves as the backup for new employee onboarding and offboarding.

This position will report to the Human Resources Manager. This position is on a hybrid schedule, and a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies' HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the administration of payroll, including processing semi-monthly payroll, auditing/correcting timesheets, and ensuring timely and compliant timesheet submission.

  • Serve as the 'subject matter expert' on Paylocity and all payroll inquiries. Train new employees and provide periodic company training.

  • Serve as a backup for preparing and executing new employee orientation/onboarding and exiting/offboarding.

  • Participate in the compliant maintenance of personnel files and update employee databases.

  • Responsible for internal and external data reporting. Generate custom reports and data analysis as requested and report on HR and Payroll metrics.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, supervisors, department leaders, and HR team members to create partnerships that yield success and cohesion.

  • Work closely with the finance team on all government contracts.

  • Stay informed of best practices and market trends in human resources and payroll.

  • Prepare and amend HR and Payroll documents as necessary.

  • Participate in HR and Payroll projects, events, and activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field is required.

  • At least three years of solid experience in human resources and payroll administration, with hands-on experience in the areas of responsibility noted.

  • Demonstrated experience with administering and processing payroll with Paylocity is required.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite software programs.
