DESCRIPTION
This position assists the Manager of Training and Development in the planning, assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training; researching employee development methodologies for professional growth; and facilitating approved development programs and activities. Assists in performing training needs assessment; training of employees on established and/or modified organizational practices and procedures; and the administration of Human Resources policies and procedures relating to employee training and development.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborates with departments to coordinate implementation of employee training curriculums and sessions based on needs assessment and certification requirements. Assists with plans for training project completion, including comprehensive scripting/storyboarding and timelines.
Facilitates training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment, and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts, materials, etc. and staging the training area.
Assists with research on new training techniques and programs; makes program recommendations; implements approved techniques and programs in a timely manner. Remains current on developments in training and instructional methodologies, including technology enhancements, and attends periodic Train-the-Trainer meetings and seminars to ensure currency of education.
Assists with training provided through web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, in person training, etc.
Monitors, tracks, and assesses training programs.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in researching and coordinating instructional training and design, and/or experience in learning & development, human resources, or psychology.
OR
Associate's degree and five (5) years of experience in researching and coordinating instructional training and design, and/or experience in learning & development, human resources, or psychology.
OR
High School diploma and seven (7) years of experience in instructional training and design, and/or experience in learning & development, human resources, or psychology.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in Learning Management Systems, Performance Management, HRIS-(NEOGOV), Power Point, MS Word, Excel, Adobe and Canva
Ability to maintain discretion and prudence at all times.
Licensing/Certification: (Some duties may require limited travel from office to other locations.)

Physical Abilities: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
