Downer's Road Services business is one of the largest non-government owned infrastructure services businesses in Australia. We operate from a network of over 50 depots and maintain more than 40,000 km of roads Australia wide.
Due to a recent acquisition coupled with organic growth we have two HR Advisor roles available based in Somerton, Melbourne & Rosehill, Sydney. This is an autonomous position that would be suited to candidates with exposure in Engineering, Construction or Heavy industrial sectors that have a large blue-collar workforce.
As a solution's based generalist HR practitioner, you will understand how employees make a difference to an organisation, including the effects that employment, engagement, retention, development and industrial legislation have to achieving operational objectives.
Ideally, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and have exposure in Construction, Engineering or Heavy Industrial sectors.
Central to this role;
Stakeholder engagement within complex matrix environments will enable you to act as the conduit between the business and our centres of expertise
A HR generalist with exposure and understanding in the areas of workforce relations/IR legislation, Performance Management and Succession Planning;
The ability to understand and apply effective engagement techniques to develop value add trust-based relationships;
Experienced in managing and supporting the delivery of HR strategies, policies and procedures;
Builds strong business relationships with a true understanding of the client requirements;
Attuned to the processes of change at micro and macro levels including interventions to change behaviours at the individual, group and business level;
Experienced in the delivery of performance management processes, policies and programmes to achieve optimal results;
