The HR Administrator is an integral part of the Basin team located in Dickinson, ND. You will be working with the Basin HR Manager to deliver on employee relations, and being that first point of contact for all HR related inquiries.
First point of contact for HR related inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefit programs.
Conduct orientation and on-boarding process for new hires, including preparing and managing new hire paperwork.
Assist HR Manager with reviewing monthly business reports with leadership.
Handle unemployment claims
Work with Corporate HRAdmin team to ensure Workday and employee data is accurate.
Assist HR Manager with advising managers on progressive disciplinary actions and approval of forms.
Prepare, update, discuss and distribute required reports, including (but not limited to) headcount and organization charts.
Track discipline and terminations on the tracker spreadsheets and update weekly
Be a resource for employees to voice their concerns, maintain confidentiality
Generate termination letters and terminate employee in Workday. Notify payroll of PTO payout
Exit Interviews and send out benefits information for terminated employees
Work on employee leave (STD, LTD) and return to work
Compile monthly bonuses and send to HR Manager for review, approval and processing
Work with Human Resources Manager on various projects and perform other duties as assigned
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Highly detail-oriented.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn HRIS applications (Workday).
Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources.
Be a creative, self-starter and team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
A professional demeanor; a can-do attitude and a desire to learn and succeed.
The ability to multi-task, problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines.
Initiative and a strong willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
Must be flexible to work outside of normal work schedule when required.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Stays well informed regarding Human Resource developments.
Bachelor's or Associate degree in Human Resources or relevant field. 1 3 years of HR experience

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell; lift more than 100 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
