Job Description

To provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Director, Assistant Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Managers. To support the Human Resource function by providing a warm greeting and environment for all associates in the Associate Services Center.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all personnel files through the weekly filing and logging of all pertinent information.

  • Answer multi-line telephone within two rings, convey messages and answer simple questions.

  • Collects, distributes and sorts internal/external office mail and clears Suggestion Box(es) weekly.

  • Maintain central filing for common forms and replenish HR forms inside and outside the office.

  • Maintain associate locker process and conduct monthly locker audits.

  • Prepares packets for new hire processing, new hire orientation and other misc. training and HR materials.

  • Processing change of address, change of name, change of marital status, etc.

  • Monitors and maintains Associate Programs to include: birthday & anniversary listings and cards, ASC bulletin boards, OSC and other postings as appropriate.

  • Handles all verbal and written verification of employment and post-employment.

  • Processes purchase orders and expense reports.

  • Assist applicants with online applications and questions.

  • Assist associates as needed by answering simple questions or forwarding to appropriate team member.

  • Maintains clean, organized Associate internet station

  • Assist other HR associates as needed.

Qualifications

  • Relevant hospitality and/or customer service/administrative experience

  • College Degree preferred. Preferably in hospitality or human resources management

  • Highly motivated self starter focused on quality, organization, guest service and teamwork.

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.

  • Computer proficiency; specifically with Microsoft Office and Windows. Micros experience is preferred.

  • The ability to work in a fast paced high pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments

  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance

They will be a self-starter, focused on engagement to bring enthusiasm to the office and offering up new ideas and programs.</p><p><br></p><h3>Responsibilities-</h3><ul> <li>Act as a key business partner to members of the company to improve processes and procedures.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FCRA, EEO, and FLSA)</li> <li>Conduct regular compliance reviews at location level (Wage and Hour, etc.)</li> <li>Assist in the development and implementation of employee handbook, on-boarding program, and personnel policies and procedures, in conjunction with senior management. </li> <li>Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing (also coaches/trains management on these items.)</li> <li>Represents the Company’s interest during Employee Resolution proceedings, procedures, and administrative requirements including EEO, NLRB, Worker’s Compensation, and Union Grievance Meetings, etc. as required.</li> <li>Develop performance management program that ensures all employees are familiar with their job responsibilities and that managers are coached on how to handle performance management in the correct fashion.</li> <li>Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions</li> <li>Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.</li> <li>Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs designing and producing benefit packages for new hire on-boarding and open enrollment.</li> <li>Teams with Director of Talent Acquisitions, CEO, VP, Chief Administrative Officer, and Legal Counsel as needed on various projects and decisions. </li> <li>Team with our Talent Acquisition Director on Hiring, Recruiting, and Compensation efforts, as needed.</li> </ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred (HR, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, Business)</li> <li><strong>SHRM, HRCI, or PHR Certification(s) strongly preferred</strong></li> <li>6+years of progressive Human Resources experience in more than one facet of HR preferred, relevant experience will be considered</li> <li>3+ years in an HR supervisory role</li> <li><strong>Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices and talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law</strong></li> <li>Experience in a dealership or retail/wholesale environment in the automotive, powersports, auction, or boat industries strongly preferred.</li> <li>Creative, independent self-starter who excels in a fast paced environment</li> <li> <strong>Must be a confident communicator with interpersonal skills, (including written, and verbal skills) and able to effectively champion ideas, influence, and present to Leadership as well as professionally handle employee issues.</strong> </li> <li>Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities, diverse audiences and challenging environments</li> <li>Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance issues for multiple States</li> <li><strong>Thorough knowledge and understanding of all HR Compliance laws (EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, Wage and Labor Laws, Immigration Laws, etc.)</strong></li> <li>Must possess a high level of honesty, integrity, and ethics</li> <li>Ability to travel as necessary (approximately 15- 20%), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required (Mt.
