Overview/ Job Responsibilities
The HR Specialist with a focus on Compliance Training and Wellness Coordination is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance training programs and wellness initiatives within the organization. This role ensures that all employees are educated on relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and promotes a culture of health and well-being.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Training Coordination
Develop, update, and maintain compliance training programs within our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is relevant and up-to-date with current laws and regulations.
Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and develop tailored programs.
Monitor and track employee participation and completion of required training programs.
Ensure all training materials are accessible and comprehensible to a diverse workforce.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
Wellness Coordination
Design, implement, and manage wellness programs aimed at improving employee health and well-being.
Organize wellness events, activities, and challenges that promote physical, mental, and emotional health.
Monitor and analyze participation and engagement in wellness programs and make adjustments to improve effectiveness.
Provide support and resources to employees regarding health and wellness inquiries and issues.
Promote a culture of wellness through regular communication, education, and incentives.
General HR Duties
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Provide support in various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Stay informed of changes in employment law and HR best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned by the HR Leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is desired.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on compliance training and/or wellness coordination.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Ability to anticipate needs, discern priorities, and meet deadlines with little supervision
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Excellent presentation, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Experience using data and metrics
Experience managing and prioritizing deliverables, projects, and relationships
This role is hybrid with a 3 day in office requirement.
Clearance & Citizenship Requirement: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship able to obtain a government clearance.
