Responsibilities:
*Support Employee Relations Consultants by researching information as directed. This may include researching employee records, time tracker or other related documentation.
  • Support ER Consultants by completing case entry, creating cases in HRHD, adding attachments, closing cases, etc.

  • Assist with ER ad hoc reporting

  • Attend meetings related to conduct ? assist with agendas, meeting minutes and securing documentation

  • Follow-up with managers for status updates/documentation

We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk, and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. This Operational Risk Consultant 4 will work within the Front Line Control group supporting the Home Lending team. The Consultant will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring a risk-based compliance program to assure compliance with federal, state, agency, legal, and regulatory requirements, or may provide oversight to a compliance function. * Works with assigned business units and provides compliance and operational risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk to identify, assess, and manage risk in all business activities. * Develops testing strategies and methodologies; evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products, and internal controls; identifies issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations. * Consults with business to develop and implement corrective action plans to effectively manage change and ensure regulatory compliance. * Identifies training opportunities; may design/coordinate the development of training materials and deliver training. * Reports findings and drafts recommendations to compliance risk and business line management. * Coordinates production of periodic compliance and operational risk performance reports for senior management, including trend analysis and recommended strategies. * Coordinates site, agency, or other examinations conducted by external parties. * May manage project teams. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Analyzes/consults on how corrective actions can be implemented. * Reviews and provides creditable challenge on corrective actions and/or audit findings. * Conducts risk assessment of proposed process changes needed due to regulatory or investor changes. * Reviews/consults/approves changes to company policies/procedures. * Assists with root cause analysis for identified issues. * Provides ad-hoc testing and monitoring as needed. * Monitors/consults on outstanding action plans to address identified issues. * Effectively gathers and creditably challenges corrective action documentation, ensuring that all necessary documentation is entered into system of record (SHRP). * Acts as an equal partner and trusted advisor to the businesses to drive operational excellence and change as necessary. * Critically assesses processes and procedures both for operational effectiveness and appropriate customer focus, utilizing a range of techniques including data analysis, data validation, and transactional testing. * Recommends and drives process improvement that addresses the fundamental root cause of issues. * Effectively communicates risks, priorities, and action steps necessary to remediate policies and processes. * Partners with the testing and analytical resources within the Real Estate Compliance and Operational Risk Management groups to develop and implement testing methods and perform critical assessments. * Consults with the Business on Compliance Activity Reports (CARs). Required Qualifications * 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications * Advanced Microsoft Office skills * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Other Desired Qualifications * A BS/BA degree or higher * Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment * Experience with investor/agency requirements * Experience with Home Lending Sales processes * Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames * Experience with a variety of real estate secured loan products and business line processes * Experience with investor/agency requirements * Professional certification (i.e. CRCM, CIA, CMB, etc.) * Experienced in completing risk assessments and compliance activity reviews * Strong knowledge of the Wells Fargo Corporate Risk Issues Management Policy * Strong ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally * Strong ability to drive change and influence others to reach goals and deadlines Job Expectations * This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results.
