Your responsibilities

Develops implements and coordinates policies and programs covering the following: employment, labor relations, wage and salary administration, orientation, training, talent management, workforce planning placement, benefits and employee services

Key Accountabilities: Develops and aids in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings Ensures conformance with legislated requirements and organization needs Investigates complaints of harassment and discrimination Keeps abreast of legislation affecting human resources; trains management and monitors company policies to ensure compliance Provide coaching and resources to employees and managers with respect to career development, compensation, staffing initiatives, performance management and employee relations in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach Assist in the development and implementation of programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction and commitment levels Monitor and review the performance appraisal process and continually develop as necessary, ensuring that annual appraisals are carried out in a timely manner Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies Member of HR Management team to optimize HR processes and systems Partner with division leadership to recommend solutions that help the business meet their operating plan Participate with division leadership teams to optimize HR, development and talent management processes and employee solutions Develop tools, coaching, and training to support managers with performance management, talent assessment, and succession planning Engage and collaborate with functional teams to deliver HR programs Advocate best practices for employee welfare, engagement, and empowerment Support the development of effective leadership teams Work within established compensation guidelines for hiring and performance management The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of thisjob. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Human Resources Minimum of 5 years working experience in a union or non-union environment supporting multiple locations and business units Must possess excellent communication skills oral and written Must work well with employees at all levels of the organization, and possess excellent conflict resolution and emotional intelligence skills Must have prior experience working with executive level managers Must be familiar with legal compliance requirements related to labor and employment law Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time Preferred

Requirements:
Professional designation or MBA preferred

LocationSouthfieldPeriodPermanentContractFull TimeStatusLaufende RekrutierungJob IDUS_901369_MX-MAT-USA00154 Your responsibilitiesSummary of Position:Provides coordination of Leave of Absence process for FMLA, Non FMLA, and Military Leave of Absence requests in compliance with FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA regulations and company policy.Key Accountabilities: * Processes and coordinates administration all Leaves of Absence programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, and Personal) for multiple states to ensure conformance and consistency based upon applicable federal/state laws and policies, in partnership with third party administrator. * Interprets policy to address and resolve issues raised as well as providing advice and resolution. * Prepares correspondence as needed, related to LOA needs and Federal Regulations and maintains legal compliance for all forms. * Manages internal LOA records including data entry in HRIS systems. * Support data entry for Canada LOA claims. * Prepares standard and ad hoc LOA reports. * Verifies eligibility for all intermittent leave requests. * Daily interaction and follow up with Managers and Employees regarding FMLA, LTD and STD to address questions and ensure process compliance. * Investigates and researches leave policy issues and problems and responds with appropriate action in accordance to past practice, company policy, state and federal laws. * Identifies and advises management of trends, problems, and issues as well as recommended course of action; informs management of new procedures and ideas for continuous process improvement. * Monitor managers and supervisors tracking of leave time to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. * Meets tkMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
