Human Resource Intern

Responsibility includes Human Resource Business Partner for hourly population in a manufacturing environment. This will include lock assembly, cylinder assembly, finishing, fabrication and electronics (245 employees). Responsibilities to include working with supervisors on disciplinary action, employee relation issues, recruiting, hiring, promotions, terminations, mid year performance reviews.

Project work: review all hourly job descriptions and update as necessary. Review hourly population to determine if grading and midpoints are in line with the market.

Review pay inequities between males and females and minorities and non-minorities. Provide recommendations for grade and/or necessary pay adjustments.

Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). Job-Specific Details Position located at 722 S. Wahsatch, Colorado Springs, CO. Job Summary (Essential Functions) The Resource Navigator's primary role is to assist identified patients with identifying barriers to effective care, assisting the patient in identifying and working with community resources and is key in obtaining medically appropriate services through referral processing inside and outside of the Peak Vista Community Health Centers. The Resource Navigator provides one-on-one guidance and support through the healthcare continuum. Resource Navigator will utilize all referral processes applicable to the payor source, including pre-certifications and prior authorizations. Resource Navigators collaborate with clinical staff, emergency diversion team, centralized care managers, health education and community providers to ensure smooth transition to the most suitable level of care. Resource Navigators promote patient education and self-care management in order to reduce hospital readmission rates; through interdisciplinary collaboration with the care coordination team to achieve measurable patient outcomes. In addition to promoting and coordinating healthcare services, with cost effective solutions, the Resource Navigator contributes to the implementation of the member's care plan. Supervision: Clinical Team Managers Supervision Exercised: N/A Qualifications Education: High School Diploma required. Associated degree preferred. Work Experience: Minimum 2 year experience in a healthcare or social service setting is required Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Spanish preferred. Computer Skills: Microsoft applications required. Other Skills: Ability to flourish independently and in a team management system. Sensitivity to low income, ethnic minority community. Excellent organizational skills, excellent tracking and documentation required. Excellent attendance required. Excellent listening skills. Certificates & Licenses: Valid Colorado driver's license and a dependable and reliable vehicle. Physical Demands Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range.
