Role Summary:

GE Digital (New Orleans) is looking for a successful and highly-motivated student interested in obtaining hands-on experience in Human Resources. The Intern will work with the Human Resources Manager on key initiatives and be a part of meaningful projects that contribute to the success of our site and business.

Essential Responsibilities:

Under the leadership of the HR Manager, the HR intern will work on assignments, tasks and projects in a variety of HR areas and processes including: recruiting & staffing, compensation & benefits, training & development, employee engagement, and employee relations.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a full-time student enrolled in a 4 year-college or university program

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, psychology or related discipline

  • Minimum overall 3.0 GPA

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

  • Graduating between December 2018 June 2021

  • Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in the United States

Desired Characteristics:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Team player and ability to collaborate with others

  • Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently

  • Results oriented

  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines
