GE Digital (New Orleans) is looking for a successful and highly-motivated student interested in obtaining hands-on experience in Human Resources. The Intern will work with the Human Resources Manager on key initiatives and be a part of meaningful projects that contribute to the success of our site and business.
Under the leadership of the HR Manager, the HR intern will work on assignments, tasks and projects in a variety of HR areas and processes including: recruiting & staffing, compensation & benefits, training & development, employee engagement, and employee relations.
Must be a full-time student enrolled in a 4 year-college or university program
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, psychology or related discipline
Minimum overall 3.0 GPA
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
Graduating between December 2018 June 2021
Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship
Must be willing to work out of an office located in the United States
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational, analytical, project management, and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Team player and ability to collaborate with others
Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines
